Princess Cut Treasury

Today I nabbed an Etsy Treasury and decided to title it "Princess Cut." The idea had been on my mind a while and I have my Treasury-nabbing method down to a science now. So I included all sellers who I had never heard of before. It turns out that I got a fellow Texan in there and I also got two sellers who are new to Etsy and had never been included in a Treasury before.

That made me feel really good that I was helping to expose new sellers. I know that I wouldn't be as familiar with Etsy as I am today without other Etsians helping me out along the way.

Jennifer Williams was the person who founded Etsy Fort Worth. Her Etsy shop is Blueskysunburn Creations. She has helped me become more involved in the real-life applications of Etsy in my community. I am happy to be a part of Etsy FW because I am helping head up the Adopt-a-Platoon volunteer effort. We have already adopted our soldier and will be sending care packages to him consistently for the next year. http://www.etsyfortworth.com/ is our blog. Check it out for the latest Weekly Giveaway.

Rainy Day Knitter

So, the day is dreary and rainy. Perfect for knitting by the fire. (Did I just hear a roar of agreement from my hundreds of followers?)
I've finished two cute Cotton Candy inspired earwarmers that are now listed in my Etsy Shop for $6. http://knittyknittybangbang.etsy.com/
$6 really can't be beat for a hand-knit earwarmer. The colors are cute. I'm probably going to resume Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and create another earwarmer or hat out of the blue Soft Spun Cascade wool. Delectible!

Knitting the Day Away

So, the title says so much about what I'm going to do today. After getting yet another Treasury on Etsy yesterday, I've decided that I will knit again today.

I'm excited about these Organic Cotton Hooded Baby Towel/Wraps. They are super cute. I need to make one in white with a pink hood. Since I'm low on Organic in white, I'll have to start it and then leave it to be finished at a later time.

I'm currently working on a Froggy Hat for a custom order. It will be finished today. Then I want to start knitting on the Cotton Candy Wool Hat. Too cute.

That's all for now. Happy Knitting (or whatever it is that you do, in particuluar).

Our After Christmas Clearance Sale on Etsy

So, Janie and I have decided to start a blog for the Etsy Shop, Knitty Knitty Bang Bang. It's been a fun process, selling our hand-knit items in the shop. People really seem to enjoy the socks, hats, scarves and afghans we make. We love knitting so the whole thing works out very nicely.

On to the sale. We're having an After Christmas Clearance Sale for the shop. http://knittyknittybangbang.etsy.com/

This consists of a different total percentage off your order when you buy a different amount of items.

Buy 1 item, take 5% off your entire order
Buy 2 items, take 15% off your entire order
Buy 3 items, take 25% off your entire order
Buy 4 items, take 35% off your entire order

And if you're interested in purchasing more than four items, I'll be your best virtual friend (or real friend if you live close enough). The coffee's on me.

Free standard USPS shipping to the US still applies to your orders of $15 or more until New Years. Jump on the horse, its about to leave.

We're excited about getting the New Year underway. We both got (surprise, surprise) knitting stuff for Xmas. Now the little elves have to get back to work. It gets colder after Xmas and there are people in need of some hand-knit goods!

Thanks for following the blog. I hope to keep it as interesting and knit-tastic as possible.
